Durham History Exhibit Features Credit Unions
A special exhibit has opened at the Museum of Durham History as part of the museum’s “Durham A to Z” program. This month’s exhibit is “C is for Credit Union,” which opened last week and will remain on display until October.
The first credit union in the south opened in Durham’s Lowes Grove community in 1916, and the area has remained integral to credit union history to this day.
We encourage you to visit the museum to see the credit union exhibit, as well as to enjoy the rest of Durham’s rich history. For complete details, please read the following story posted on the Carolinas Credit Union League web site: Museum exhibit to chart history of Durham credit unions.
